An easy drive along the beach at Boyne Island to find this cache within 200 metres of a camping area
A Lilley's Beach Permit and a 4WD are required for this cache located near the end of Boyne Island Beach. Also bring some insect repellant as the sandflies can get quite nasty in this rea at times. Permits are available from Calliope Shire Council Mon to Fri as well as Boyne Tannum Community Hall which is open 7 days a week apart from public holidays and cost $5.00 a week or $25.00 a year. The drive along the beach is an easy drive as far as beach driving goes but make sure you check the tides before going looking for this cache as the area is impassable at high tide and remember to drop your tire pressures. Fishing and swimming gear as well as a picnic lunch are a few items you may wish to take along but there is no facilities at the camping area so remember to bring plenty of water for everyone. The Cache is a Clear plastic container about 300mm long by 90mm dia placed near a tree and covered in grass, leaves and sticks and full of goodies and of course a log book and pencil. Have fun and good luck
