Geocache Description:

Located 86 miles Northeast of Atikokan Canada on Montairy Lake. Accessable only by boat after either flying into the lake or portaging in from two lakes away. Early spring the water level is higher and easier to land. Be careful where you land and how you come ashore. The moss and vegitation is on rock and not secure. We did not see eveidence of the bear at this end of the lake. This cache will be maintained by Fern of the Kashabowie Outpost as he flys into this lake frequently.

Mountairy Lake is used by Kashabowie Outposts. They are an outfitter located just out of Atikokan Ontario, Canada. To fly into this lake you must contact them. For more info goto www.kashabowieoutpost.com. There is an active logging road northeast of this lake which allows you to portage through Rude Lake and Scruffy Lake. The cache is a green plastic ammo box which contains a log book and pencils and some fire starting gear along with some trinkets. It is protected for the elements.
