This is a great area for some CITO, as are most of the islands on Lake Murray. You will need a geovessel to reach the island. Or be a really, really, really good swimmer.
I was going to write a little story to go along with this cache. But after 2 weeks all I had was "The legend of Counts Island". Which explains why I don't write books for a living.
So, I will keep this short & simple. You are looking for a .50 cal ammo can that is hidden very well. Please re-hide it as well as you found it. You will find your path easier if you approach from the Southeast side of the island. Posted coordinates will get you within 15-20 feet, but not much closer due to tree cover.
