Geocache Description:

Believe it or not, this cache has nothing to do with a big oil company.
It's the answer to a riddle: Why did the turtle cross the road?

Answer: To get to the Shell Station.

This cache location is along a ditch. At the bridge that crosses it, there is an area that always seems to hold some water. Like many water holes in the Houston area, this water hole has at least 20 turtles living here. There are five different types of turtles that we have identified. Most are the usual red-eared sliders, but there are numerous alligator-gar snappers. There are some yellow sliders and mud turtles. There is also one large soft-shell turtle that is my favorite. Oh yeah, occasionally you will see a large nutria. It looks like a humongous rat.

The cache is a plastic Texmati rice container that has been camoed. Inside is some sweet swag; a TB Emory's Adventure (Help him move along,), a medium size turtle lovie, two baseball cards and a lime green ball.

***After an extreme muggling, the cache and cache location have slightly changed. The cache is now a small camoed cookie tin. The location is now 30 ft. WNW of this original site between a tree and a fence. Please replace the cache as best as it was found to keep it from being muggled.

I have also added a TB (PT Cruiser) as an incentive to hit this cache quickly.

When you come for the cache, bring some bread or cat food to feed the turtles. It might give muggles the impression that you are there, not for the cache but for the turtles.
