At Heart of Kamchatka - Anavgay
This is a settlement of Evens and Koryaks, full of sincere and
open-hearted people. It's only place at Kamchatka, where aborigines
dominate over Russians. Settlement is situated directly at Hearth
of Kamchatka - Bystrinsky region in a low place at the foot of
mountains. 101 people lived in this place about 80 years ago when
Bystrinsky region was founded, now live here about 600 people. In
the Koryak language the word "anavgay" means "larch resin".
From local heliport is possible helicopter delivery (MI-8) to
examination of Evens nomad camp or fishning in wilderness.
Cache container is hidden directly at Thermal basin.
Small note on cache maintenance: Cache has been
planted with assistance from our russian guide Oleg, who is
interesting in geocaching as a novice and he will take care about
this cache, during his guide fishing expeditions to this
area.
