Cache is your reward when visiting Blanca/Virgin Lakes.
Blanca Lake is a gorgeous hike, ending approximately 4 miles from the trailhead at a glacier-fed, turquoise-colored sub-alpine lake. Fishing isn't bad if you pack a pole (worms recommended, we didn't get bites on flies.)
Virgin Lake is a short stop on the final leg of the hike to Blanca. Little more than a pond, Virgin Lake makes a good drop off for backpackers planning to overnight.
Our cache is located near the campsite at Virgin Lake.
The container is a standard size Rubbermaid with red lid.
Inside is logbook, pencils with sharpener, TOPO maps of Cascade Pass (for your next hike?) and selected Halloween goodies (although after THAT climb, nothing should scare you!) Oh, and a few Wheresgeorge.com bills for the first few cache finders.
