Geocache Description:

As with all things around this area, watch for snakes and sticker bushes and thorns.

This is a cammo first aid kit with log book and other small items, started with carlsbad caverns coin, bulldog pawprint button, casino dollar, a small first aid kit,and a radio with light. There is a first finders gift that is a small velvet bag with a lucky charm in it. A question has been asked about the name of the cache. There is a little bit of history around this cache. I won't go into detail but this site was once a satalite prisoner of war camp. I don't know alot about this camp, but I do know that the prisoners were given a choice to stay in camp or they could go and work at some of the local farms around the area. When they performed day labor they were paid for it, and it was their choice. A search on the net did show me some interviews of some of the prisoners. it really is interesting I would suggest checking it out. If you look around the cache you can still see some of the fence and light poles around the perimeter.Just one last note. If you have strong feelings about this sort of thing I really do recomend that you search for the interviews that i mentioned earlier. Please keep in mind that alot of the buildings are not around anymore, and please do some research on this before you post any opinions. Thanks for your understanding.
