Spring Canyon Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BLMBilbo: Cannot access location due to too much burned dead and down obstacles from the devastating June 17, 2024 South Fork Fire. And it's going to be that way for quite some time. Will eventually check the location to see if container survived, and if so and access is reasonable, may re-establish.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located 3/4 mile up Cedar Creek Trail #13

Access to the trail head is 3/4 mile off of Spring Canyon Rd which turns north off of Cedar Creek Rd about 2 miles. Parking is located 150 yds past the trail head on your left just before Saddle Slope Rd. There are two beautiful falls at this point on the trail after the summer rains. Trail could be muddy depending on the time of year you visit the cache.

This is BLM Bilbo (Mike Bilbo) and I just received automated "Under the Weather" warnings about Fork in the Road (GC33Q3N) and Spring Canyon (GCYGTX), which have been disabled since June.

They were disabled due to the South Fork Fire and I have not been able to access those locations due to catastrophic flooding that followed the equally catastrophic fire.

But recently, pjhunters (Pam Robinson) told me of a trail that I might be able to access them to check if they are burned up or intact, and I can do that this coming week.
