Each time we drive north on River Road to Victoria Street, we
see this bridge that appears to go nowhere. Recently, we stopped
and checked it out: yes indeed, another fine bridge from a
well-known local manufacturer. This looks like a nice spot for a
quick micro cache with a modest FTF prize!
As usual, bring your own writing instrument!
Here are the steps to finding the final:
- Climb the steps of the bridge.
- Count the number of wooden planks on the bridge span (call this
A)
- Multiply A by 6, and divide by 10,000. Add this offset to both
the N and W posted coordinates -- this is the actual location of
the micro.
Please note that the bridge provides safe passage over a very
busy rail line -- good for trainspotters. It's common sense, but
note that you DO NOT have to approach the tracks. If your
computed coordinates take you there, check your math again!!
