Memphis is a well-planned city and the streets are fairly easy to
negotiate, except at peak business hours when things get downright
hectic. Public transport is provided by the Memphis Area Transit
Authority (MATA). They also operate the Trolley, 2 buses in the
downtown area.
The famous Main Street Trolley lines run up and down Main Street
from Auction Street in the North to J.O Patterson in the South.
These antique trolleys also make a Riverfront Loop that gives a
close-up view of the Mississippi River, the Pyramid and Mud Island.
It also provides access to a variety of attractions including
Downtown cafes, Beale Street and the National Civil Rights
Museum.
"A Day Downtown" is a mosaic piece by Cindy Exum-Metcalf, Jeanne
Seagle, Helene Baber, and Alexander Brothers Tile. Enjoy the art
work while hunting this cache. Please be VERY careful of onlookers
here!
Bring your own pencil. There is a Where's George dollar for
