Geocache Description:

Start the historical tour at the Mt Hope Mausoleum. The mausoleum was built in 1910 and placed on the National Registry of Historical Places in 1986. The cemetery has set hours after which the gates are closed to vehicle traffic but foot traffic is still permitted.

Once you are at the mausoleum, cross the paved path to the north to pay respects to the resting place of the Dakota Territories' last governor and the first governor of South Dakota. His last name and his wife's maiden name will help you locate the next two caches. Two of their four sons are also buried here.

The cache is located in the cemetery, but not close to the mausoleum. Watch out for muggles as this is a popular place for people to walk/exercise. You are looking for a small plastic container wrapped in camo tape.
