Lincoln Wildlife Area Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-Tiki-: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Thanks to Maggie Potts for this cache. She originally placed this cache on April 14, 2003. Rest in peace Maggie. The Lincoln Wildlife Area is a public hunting area. Cornfields and grassland lay north of the timber. If you approach on the highway from the south, you can see the foundations of an old railroad bridge. Thanks to Pheasants Forever for their efforts making thes area open to the public.

Parking at N41 38.215, W092 21.494 just off Highway 21. Use caution if it's hunting season and any vehicles are parked here.

It's an easy hike to the cache. Nice mowed trails to the south and the west of the parking area. You pick which trail. The cache is a decon container.

As you leave, where the path turns, check out the old railway grade across the highway.
