Geocache Description:

Coded communique received. For your eyes only.

A prototype MQ-4A, an updated version of the Predator unmanned aerial vehicle, has crash-landed in a remote section of Orange County, California. The aircraft was undergoing night stress testing when flight operations reported a disruption in the satellite relay. Extensive search and retrieval operations are already underway. Intel from various sources indicates that foreign interests may be combing the crash site looking for remnants of the aircraft. Advanced satellite imagery should be available by the time you read this.

Needless to say, should any MQ-4A components or technology be retrieved by hostile factions, the entire program may be jeopardized. Initial reports from the impact site note that virtually all large fragments have been secured and sent to decommissioned facilities at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro for analysis. The latest update, however, indicates that the drone-version FDR, or flight data recorder (known to civilian personnel as the "black box"), is still missing. This particular recorder, like those developed by Physical Optics Corporation (POC), is protected by a weather-resistant casing.

Should you agree to undertake the retrieval mission, code-named Black Box Down, the Air Force and U.S. government would be most grateful. It's possible the locator beacon is working, but Mission Ops suggests that you use consumer-grade GPS units for all retrieval activities. Good luck!
