"Candy Run Baptist Cemetery" is located on Candy Run, just off Lucasville-Minford Road in Jefferson Township...
"Candy Run Baptist Cemetery" sprawls out up the hillside, just across from the old church...The church has seen some modernization to it, but pretty much looks about the same as it did at the turn of the century when this area was thriving place that included a school and a store...
Many areas developed along the county's waterways such as Candy Run which is a tributary of the Scioto River...
Those interred here date from the late 1800's to present day... One pastor from the church's turn of the century days rests in peace here- the Reverend James Gilliam (1882-1975)...Nancy Addington whose final resting place is here is ancestor to the famous Addingtons from London, England that came to Virginia originally and then fanned out as the new lands developed...
You will find this cache up the hill at the top of the cemetery...Cache is an ammo box full of goodies...Look for Peters, Blair and Hay and you are close...On your way back down, enjoy the view of the old church across the way...
The cemetery is open dawn to dusk daily...
