The Lone Star Wind Farm will be one of the largest of its kind. The first phase will consist of over 20,000 acres and 100 turbines. The construction is a great boom for Shackelford County. The approximate cost is $300 million. Please take pictures of the white giants when you do this cache. We can keep up with the progress that way. This cache is located along the Texas Forts Trail. The 650 mile trail region includes 29 counties in West Texas and highlights 8 historic frontier forts. p>
