Geocache Description:

This should be a quick park and grab

IN 1971, THE COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE OPENED UP IN WALT DISNEY WORLD IN FLORIDA AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM. HENRY IS THE HOST OF COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE. I HAVE SEEN THIS SHOW MANY TIMES IN MY YOUTH. I TOOK MY WIFE AND KIDS TO SEE IT A FEW YEARS AGO.

The Country Bears movie was released by Disney in 2002, loosely based on The Country Bear Jamboree in which the bears have to save Country Bear Hall from demolition by a benefit concert. Ironically, the Disneyland version closed shortly before the movie came out.

This attraction was originally sponsored by Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay for a few years. Not only did the show mention their sponsorships, but at the beginning, Henry even mentions part of Pepsi's old slogan at the time ("You've Got a Lot To Live; Pepsi's Got a Lot To Give!") by saying, "Just refrain from hibernatin' and we'll all enjoy the show, 'cause we've got a lot to give." When Pepsi's sponsorship of the attraction was dropped, only the mention by Henry of its sponsorship was dropped, but such was not the case for his introduction that included part of the slogan.

In the show: Henry- The "ringmaster" of the show, Henry is a welcoming and friendly brown bear. He wears a black top hat and is voiced by Pete Renaday. It is implied that he and Teddi have some sort of backstage romance.

Henry introduces you to the 18 bears that perform in the show, and appear from all around (and above) the theater. Each of the bears has a unique, distinctive personality (You gotta love Big Al), as well as mannerisms and (dare I say), "style" of dress. They can sing (some of them), laugh, talk and even play musical instruments.

"My Woman Ain't Pretty, but She Don't Swear None," is performed by Liver-Lips McGrowl. "The Ballad of Davy Crockett," is performed by Henry, and "He's Big Around the Middle and He's Broad Across the Rump," is performed by almost all the other bears, trying to drown out Big Al's singing! Sammy is the name of the live raccoon atop Henry's head in the Country Bear Jamboree. During the show's finale, Sammy pops up and invites you to "all come back, ya hear?"

In the movie Henry is Master of Ceremonies at the Country Bear Playhouse, stands 6 feet tall in his stocking paws. He is another famous football player who entered show business. Henry was formerly with the "Goose Creek Bruins". One day they tried a "hidden ball" play, and Henry hid the ball so well that he couldn't find it. This hastened his transfer to music. For a while, he had trouble finding the melody, too. But Henry is a likable sort, and audiences go for him, like he goes for honey.

For a finale, Henry sang "The ballad of Davey Crockett" with Sammy, his live racoon hat. Henry is glad that he turned in his football gear for a starched shirt, and Sammy. "After all," he explains, "I never knew a football helmet that could sing like Sammy

Henry Taylor is the name and managing is his game. Itleast for the Country Bears that is. Henry is just one of the country bears that likes hanging out. He keeps to himself and means no one any harm. He always enjoys trying to find a new fishing hole small or big.

Fun is a-"bruin" at Grizzly Hall where a musical revue is in full country-fresh swing. Clap along to the pickin', grinnin', foot-stompin' hoedown as a pack of banjo-strumming, country singing bears entertain you with songs and jokes and never ever hibernate. "So clap your hands, and stomp your feet and try to keep right with us. One sure thing the bear band's got is good old country rhythm." Y'all come back!

Happy Hunting!!!!
