Geocache Description:

Another addition to the Newton Hills State Park Caches. Numerous caches in the area so be sure to get them all.

There is not true Overlook here as the name implies, but it is a high point in Newton Hills. You are looking for a .30 Cal Ammo can in Newton Hills State Park. Park entry fee is required. Recommended Parking coordinates listed as an additional waypoint. Cache is an enjoyable walk in the woods off of a main trail. You can follow a animal trail up gradual incline in a ravine, or you can go full bore bushwacking and go straight up the hill, I know what I would do, but you know your capabilities. There are bushes with thorns on them if you go the bushwacking method, I know this as I choose that option on the way out. Cache rating is based on form used to rate caches. Long pants recommended!

There were many Turkeys scurrying about on the hillsides as I placed this cache, I guess that's where the name Turkey Trot Cache and trail name came from?

WINTER CACHE OUTLOOK: I am a winter accessible cache. This does not mean I will be easy to find, but  I am findable in the winter. I may have certain attributes that prevent me from being covered by snow.  This of course  assumes that it will ***SNOW*** in this part of SD.

In order to claim this as a find, one must go to the coordinates, find the cache and sign the log.....
