I thought that people might enjoy this little corner of
Folsom. "Chinese Diggings" is a unique remnant of 19th-century gold
mining that is hidden near the Folsom's western edge and right next
to Hwy 50 and Folsom Blvd.
Most people are not even aware this site is here. The site
reportedly has been listed as a California Point of Historical
Interest, though the site is unmarked. The "old-time" cachers in
the area will remember this spot since there use to be another
cache in the area. There is a link
to some online photos of the area.
I had to move the cache so it is outside the Chinese Diggings area
because of access issues. After you find the cache you can walk
over to the fence and look over at the trenches.
I included an updated parking waypoint.
The first number for the combination lock on 10-Ball D cache is
located in this cache - you might want to jot the number down and
take it with you.
You can find 10-Ball B at
GCYP0G; 10-Ball C at
GCYP0K; and 10-Ball D at
GCYP0N. Don’t forget to check out the final
