Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

Glenn

Geocache Description:

This one is for the Dogs. A quick, easy cache for our 4 legged friends. FTF prize is for the first DOG to find the cache. Sorry humans! Please post pics of dogs visiting this cache or playing at the nearby park.

Happy Cacher is my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that I got last year for Christmas. He helped sniff out the cache location, and even marked the trail in and out for his friends to find.

Parking coords is at Happy Tails park, an off leash dog park in Lee's Summit, MO. Take your four legged friend to grab a dog toy at the cache, then go have some fun with them at the dog park. They certainly put up with alot from us when caching. (Mine has had to 'walk the pipe' , cross creeks, march thru ice storms...just to find a box in the woods.) They deserve it. There is even dog-high water fountains to get a good drink after playing.

Please keep all trade items to dog trade. (or coins and bugs). Gently used dog toys for trade are ok. Happy loves toy monkeys. He would love someone to leave him one!

This cache is at James A Reed Conservation Area. The cache is hidden in a posted non hunting area, yet I was asked to post the following when I signed my special use permit:
* James A Reed is "open to hunting and fishing, and participants should wear orange clothing whenever hunting seasons are open to deer and turkey firearm seasons"
* "This area will be closed for Managed Deer hunts on Nov 5-9 and 12-16."
* Area is closed 7pm -6am Oct-March, and 10pm - 6am April-Sept.
* Please be careful during open hunting seasons. Orange is encouraged.
*PETS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEASH ON CONSERVATION LAND. This policy is not being followed and if it continues we will have to archive the cache.

Thank you to Team Samoyed for donating the large ammo box for this cache.
