The Thin Blue Line Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tealby: I visited the cache yesterday & it is definitely gone. Perhaps this was not such a good hiding spot, so I have now found another, hopefully better, spot - no longer magnetic. Stay tuned - hopefully it will be published soon.

Geocache Description:

To find this cache you will visit one of the newest memorials in the ACT - an impressive and sobering location.

At the given coordinates you will find a long list of names of people who have died in line of duty. Four of the names are listed below. You will need a pen and paper to complete this cache, but it is very simple to solve.

Each name has a code to enable you to find the person on the memorial – keep a record of this code, because that will give you the final cache coordinates in random order.

When you go to the correct panel on the memorial you will find a plaque listing their rank, date of death and jurisdiction. Place the names in order by their dates of death to determine the correct order for the new coordinates. Only the last 2 digits of each of the starting coordinates change – so the cache is not very far from your starting position.

I also recommend a night visit to this memorial, but if you decide to try to find the cache at night you will definitely need a torch.

Honour Roll (in part):
Ernest Andrews
William Havilland
Albert Stewart McColl
Josiah Rowley
