This is the third of a series called "Out for a Picnic". Each cache site is within eyesight of a picnic table that has been placed on the trail. This one is no exception.
This cache is located about 1km (as the GPS states)from the suggested parking. Obviously it is longer than that. As with "Out for a Picnic" one trick is to get to the cache site without bushwacking. No bushwacking is necessary to get to the cache if the correct trail is taken. There are some steeper sections to the trail. I have walked these trails many times with my son, who is now almost 4. And it has never been a problem. If you do decide to bring younger children, just be prepared to carry them for a while.
Once you find the cache have a seat at the nearby picnic table, have a rest, and enjoy the wildlife.

The cache container is a 6" rectangular plastic container that is no longer clear.
The cache has been relocated from its orginal position on 12/28/09
