Located before the Birch Hill Dam and opposite the railroad tracks. The cache is a large peanut jar covered in camouflage duct tape. Happy hunting!
The Birch Hill Dam is located on the scenic Millers River in South Royalston, Massachusetts. It offers a small picnic area and wonderful views. The access road, which is about 1.5 miles long, is open M-F, 7-3. The rest of the time, the gate is closed to vehicular traffic, but it may be used by pedestrians and cyclists. Our family has been using the acces road recreationally for years! Recently, Lilo learned to ride her bicycle on the road, so we tought it might be a nice place to hide a cache!! If you're lucky, the train may go by while you are caching. Located nearby is the South Royalston General Store, and Pete and Henry's resturant. This is our first cache, with the usual goodies.
