Chickatawbut Hill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: Sadly, this cache needs to be archived and removed as the Blue Hills does NOT wish caches to be placed in this section of the park.

As the owner has not responded to my earlier email attempts, I am archiving this cache in accordance with the wishes of the staff at the Blue Hills.

Please remove this cache container immediately.

Thanks for understanding. If you have any questions you can reach me at ma.reviewer@gmail.com

Geocache Description:

Located only minutes from downtown Boston, the DCR Blue Hills Reservation stretches over 7,000 acres from Quincy to Dedham, Milton to Randolph, providing a green oasis in an urban environment. Chickatawbut Hill has an elevation of 517 feet, the second highest of the 22 hills in the Blue Hills chain.

The placement of this one will offer you an expansive vista to the south/east, and they don't call the high ground on your right Hawk Hill for nothing, so keep an eye to the sky too. Paved parking can be had at two trailheads along Chickatawbut Road, and Route 28 has a few gravel lots.

This cache is a small 15oz. lock&lock box. Take one and trade even or up. BYOP

WARNING ! The Blue Hills are the native habitat of two species of poisonous snakes, TIMBER RATTLERS and COPPERHEADS. Always use caution while searching and NEVER do anything that would harm these endangered animals.
