the cache is hidden along highway 20 a few miles northeast of marysville. there is good parking if you approach the cache from the old highway (off of plantz road). i have trimmed back the brambles for you.
i was born about 980 in iceland. i sailed west in the year 1000 with 35 crewmen and landed in labrador. we stayed there over the winter and, as one of my men found some wild grapes, we named the area "vinland." modern scholars believe that i actually landed on the tip of newfoundland. some people speculate that i traveled as far west as minnesota. clearly, i was the first european known to have landed in north america. who am i?
