Geocache Description:

The second Cache U Nuts cache and the first of what I hope to be a series with a theme of "Out-of-the-Ordinary Sports".

According to the Wikipedia entry:

Polo is a team sport played on horseback in which the objective is to score goals against an opposing team. Riders score by driving a ball into the opposing team's goal using a long-handled mallet. Goals are only valid if the scoring rider is mounted. Each polo team consists of four riders and their mounts. Play occurs in seven-minute periods, called chukkers, with six chukkers being the normal length of play.

During halftime, spectators are invited to go onto the playing field to replace pieces of turf that have been dug-up by the horses. If you’ve seen the movie Pretty Woman you may remember the line: "One word of advice, avoid the steaming divot!". Relax, that’s not where I hid it.

The polo field is 300 yards long and 160 yards wide (10 acres). You will find this micro (if you find it) hidden in an area bordering one of the nine polo fields that make up this beautiful 130 acre facility.

Matches take place here every Sunday at 1:00 pm from December to April. If you plan on searching during a match, be prepared to deal with very high muggle activity.

Please be very careful when searching for the cache so as not to be observed by any muggles that may be in the area. As with all micros, don’t forget to bring a pen for signing the log.
