This is a very antique area surrounded by Mirto Berry and Rosemary bushes. There is a small church and alter where there are the occasional festivals. The actual Tomba Di Gigante or Tomb of the Giant is very old and mysterious, magical and ritualistic. To this day, native Sardinians and tourists come to lay beneath the sacred arch of the tomb and hope and pray for healing by the powers that are supposed to flow through the rocks of the “headstone”. This is one of hundreds of Nuraghies on the island of Sardegna. It attracts hundreds of tourists each year. There is plenty of parking and nice walking areas. Just be sure to close the gates behind you or you may let out the occasional cow as the area sometimes doubles as a pasture. The cache itself is not in the tomb area but looking for it will bring you in the vicinity of the fenced in tomb area. Enjoy this cache. Better yet, have fun with the roads getting there. Drive slowly. Watch out for dogs, sheep, kids, cars, scooters, and Cingiale (Wild Boar). Happy hunting!
**There are some interesting goodies in this one.**
