This is a cache placed by Caliber and Colt, our two Boxers. They like stopping at the Bevin Lake rest area on Highway 12 on our way back and forth between Yakima and the Long Beach Peninsula. Its an easy on and off the highway stop to stretch their legs.
This ammo can cache was placed along Highway 12 west of Packwood. We always stop here to let the dogs run after being cooped-up in the back of the Jeep. The cache is an easy find, and you can use your dog(s) for cover as you search. Once found, the site is secluded enough that you won't be seen logging your find. I was only able to get 18' accuracy at the site, but that shouldn't be a problem. Also, if you like seaching for letterboxes, there is one close by. There is a FTF dogtag taped to the logbook for the early bird.
