Located in the China Neck Road Quaker Cemetery
Remington Hobby was Vassalboro's representative to the Provincial Congress in 1775 when Maine was still part of Massachusetts. One of his grandsons (Hartwell Jenkins, son of his daughter Hannah Hobby) is buried here with his second wife Hannah (Tuttle) Jenkins. Evidently Remington Hobby at one time owned a slave named Denmark. Denmark is also buried in this historic cemetery and occupies a row all to himself - adjacent to where the cache is placed.
A Maine geocoin is the prize for the FTF.
The cache is hidden in a obvious place as to avoid disturbing the area. Please remember to latch the gate when you leave. This cache was hidden with permission of the local Quakers.
