Geocache Description:

This is a tour of a beautiful nature park and surrounding waterfront property.

Paletta park is an area that was once a private property and over the years had fallen into disrepair. The owners at that time had scheduled the building for demolition, however, some private and public donors came forward to save the property and keep some local Burlington history.

The park that is here today is a wonderful example of what can be done when people and government work together for a community and future generations.
The cache container is an old Rolaids bottle (cleaned well).

The posted co-ordinates are for the 1st stage.

Stage 1: N 43 21.230
W 079 45.230
From these co-ordinates, take the number of the year that King George II deeded the land to Laura Secord.

Stage 2: N 43 21.256
W 079 45.169
How many lines of text in the first paragraph of the "In the flow" display?

Stage 3: N 43 21.229
W 079 45.114
How many birds are pictured here?

Stage 4: N 43 21.159
W 079 45.089
How many horizontal wooden planks are there?

Stage 5: N 43 21.127
W 079 45.170
What is the percentage of steel that eventually gets recycled?

Stage 6: N 43 21.159
W 079 45.194
Count ALL the letters on this plaque/sign. How many are there?

*Hint: If it seems like you have ALOT of letters to count, then you probably have the wrong plaque.

Stage 7: N 43 21.162
W 079 45.231
What was the year that 'Monopoly' was first sold?

To find the FINAL co-ordinates, add up all of the numbers you have collected from the first 7 stages. Take this number, divide it by 1000 and add it to these meaningless co-ordinates to get your final.
N 43 17.243
W 079 41.316

The GPS reception is not always very good at the final, so I recommend going on the other side of the flower bed to get your bearings first. When searching for the final, you should be pretty well out of view in this area.

**Please return the cache to the same place as you found it, and REHIDE well in an UPRIGHT position!** Thanks...
I hope you enjoy this one!
