Global Monkeys: As I am no longer living nearby and this geocache needs maintenance that I won't be able to do, I am going to have to archive it.

This cache is located near the public footpath that runs through Panshanger Golf Course. The course includes an excellent 18 hole championship course that has been voted the 2nd best municipal course in Great Britain. Not bad when you remember that St. Andrews Old Course is a municipal course!
The course enjoys some lovely views over the Mimram Valley, though you will have to tee-it-up to see them as the cache location is at the bottom of the hill.
The name for the cache comes from the fact that the original contents included the Tortoise and the Hare TBs who started their race to visit each county in England.
There are lots of trees along this footpath, but the cache is hidden in the plant that uses the trees for support.
Parking is available at Panshanger Golf Course.
Difficulty rating increased to reflect how well hidden this cache is.
