Geocache Description:

4th Golcar Scout Groups very own cache!

The cache is hidden in Bunny Woods in Golcar. Bunny Woods really name is Pig Hill Woods. This is a lovely walk for all the family around this local area, depending which way you enter the woods you will walk past a fresh water spring.

In 2001 4th Golcar Scout Group celebrated our 50th anniversary. 2007 will be the centenary year of Scouting in the UK, with lots off nationwide events going off to celebrate100 years of Scouting.

This is a themed cache, on Scouting. It is a traditional big ammo box with plenty of room for travel bugs and swaps. The items in the cache are all out door Scouting based, there are info books on our group and group badges. There is also a small box in the cache, which is a badge swap box, if you have any old Scouting badges to trade, take them to the box and swap them. If you intend to level anything in the cache please try and make it Scouting themed such as a necker, woggle, badgers etc…

There are many ways to get to this cache, you can park on Lamb Hall RD and walk on to the end of the road, take the track on your left that will lead you down in to Bunny Woods.
Or

Park on Banks Avenue in Golcar and follow the footpath into the woods over Billy Goat Bridge through the cow field and past the spring.

The cache is located in the field just above Compensation Reservoir and bellow Outlane Golf Course. You will see a load of old trees with carving of that date back to 1940! And a stream running below them.

The cache is well hidden and coved in rocks, PLEASE RE-HIDE WELL AFTER FINDING.
