The Great Pumpkin Rises Again Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Swamp "4": Archiving this cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. But, be warned, we've had two ammo cans taken from this park, and this cache was "muggled".

Geocache Description:

Located in the William McCarthy Memorial Park, Montcalm County. Park hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The park is closed in the winter months but parking is available in front of the gates. Please do not park on the road!!This pretty park in Montcalm County is off M-91 and has the Flat River on it's West border. There is a plaque that states: Dedicated in memory of lieutenant detective William McCarthy, Montcalm Co. Sheriff Dept. who gave his life in the line of duty April 27, 1982.

***The park is bordered by the Flat River Conservation Club. Sunday mornings you may hear the shooting of sporting clays.***

THE GREAT PUMPKIN RISES AGAIN! For those cachers that found "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" in the Lowell area last year, this is the return of the Great Pumpkin--he's not rising up out of Linus' pumpkin patch, but out of McCarthy Park.

The cache is located in a plastic container in a pretty typical hiding place. We have filled it with fun not scary, Halloween items.

Happy Halloween!!
