Just another pullout on Highway 9; it leads to a road of sorts (no vehicle access) that I’ve ridden a horse on and enjoyed the beauty of this area. You don’t need a horse to appreciate this place, now that a cache placement has forced you to slow down and look at it. The cache isn’t far from the Fire Gate itself, but there may be blackberries to munch on or the thorns to avoid. If you’re interested in a little exercise and not just out for the hunt, this road does go back quite a ways for a nice walk.
