Geocache Description:

No hiking required. Drive up cache. You might be able to reach it from your car if you park in the right spot and feel around a bit.

I spent some of my youth on a farm a couple miles north west of here. Red lived a bit farther west on the same road.
This was my favorite place to be on any given day. It was a sad day when the interstate came through and I wasn't allowed to watch the planes from my favorite spot because of the construction. The big planes landed on the north-south runway. I was limited to setting on our barn to watch or go to the east-west runway to watch the smaller planes. The Blue Angels were here once and flew all day long every day for a week doing stunts of all kinds. I was hooked! I was also not allowed to go set at my favorite spot. At the end of the fast and big plane runway.

I have grown to love the slower planes that land on the east-west runways. If you're here the right time of year you will see more stearman byplanes than you can ever imagine. If John Mohr is around at that time bring your camera. Man that guy can do some stunts.

Origonal contents are a log to sign, a TB and a neatly folded Tux for FTF.

Not accessible from the Interstate. Choose a final route carefully.
