In the comic strip "Peanuts", the Great Pumpkin is supposed to be a Santa Claus-like being that seems to exist only in the imagination of Linus van Pelt. Every year, Linus sits in a pumpkin patch on Halloween night waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear.
Well, I have it on good grounds that the Great Pumpkin is right here in the DFW Metroplex, somewhere deep in the recesses of Paschall Park in Mesquite. The park is closed between 11:00PM and 6:00AM, so keep this mind when hunting for the pumpkin.
Cache is a cammoed plastic candy jar. Please replace carefully. Pumpkins can be quite fragile, you know.
Co-ordinates were determined with a Garmin GPS60 with WAAS enabled, under heavy cloud and tree cover, averaged over a three minute span, to an accuracy of 9.7 ft.
Enjoy!
