Geocache Description:

This regular size cache is near O'Brien Pond, in the Jordan River Valley. It is winter-friendly, can be reached on foot, skiis or snowshoes, depending on the snowfall.

This pond and the surrounding area abounds with wildlife. I've spotted eagles (saw one on the day I placed this cache), hawks, ducks, owls, beaver, muskrat and deer; I've also enjoyed the wild blackberries that are thick in late summer in near-by open areas.

The "easy" way to get to this area is by way of the Jordan River Road, which can be accessed just south of the intersection of US-131 and M-32. This road will eventually bring you to within .25 of the cache. I suggest that you park your vehicle at this point, unless you have a high-clearance mud-hole loving Jeep! It is a pretty easy walk, though. During spring and summer, it can be a bit buggy, so bring the OFF along.

The cache container is a camoflaged 3X5X6 inch plastic "lock and lock." The original contents include nature and Native American-themed sticker booklets for kids, knick-knacks from a recent trip out west, a pair of Toastie Toes, a supply of my signature cards and a modest FTF prize.
