The search for this cache will take you to some nice views of Muddlety Creek along the Shoreline Trail near Summersville, WV.
Your hunt will begin at the southern trailhead of the Summersville/Muddlety Bike-Hike trail. To find it, from U.S. Route 19, go east on WV Route 39. If travelling north, this is a right-hand turn; if going south, turn left. About 200 yards after turning onto Route 39, you will see the large trail sign and parking area on the left. After walking a short distance and crossing two bridges, you will come to a fork in the trail. The one that goes downhill to the right by a stone wall is the Shoreline Trail. That is the way you want to go. You will be facing a round-trip hike of about two miles, a couple of steep uphill and downhill sections on the trail, and about 50 feet of bushwhacking to find the cache, so please plan your search with these facts in mind.
Cache is in a 40 oz. square plastic Lock & Lock container. Initial contents are: a mini Etch-A-Sketch toy, light sticks, hand magnifier, toy car, pencil sharpener, 1963-D Franklin half dollar, Smokey Bear pin, NASCAR bottle opener, mini playing cards, magic towel, and log book with pen & pencil.
I had some difficulty getting an accurate reading on my GPS unit due to the surrounding hillsides, so the given coordinates are an average of several different readings. However, they should get you close enough to the hiding place so that, with the clue (if needed), you shouldn't have too much trouble finding cache.
