Slag Heap Traditional Cache
Gozz: They have erected a fence and gate across the road to this cache. There is some sort of construction project nearby so this one is being archived. If it opens up at some later time I will re-list it.

Cache located at the foot of a rather large slag heap.
I have seen this slag heap many times while driving along Lakeshore
Drive to and from work. I have seen many trucks and jeeps perched
atop the hill close by. I am assuming this is where the iron
furnaces in Bessemer dumped their waste products in the past but I
could be off the mark. If someone knows different let me know and I
will edit this page. The cache is hidden at the foot of the heap so
you do not need to climb the hill as this could possibly be
dangerous. Be on the lookout for loose or falling rocks while you
are searching for this one. The cache is not located very far from
a dirt road so keep your ears open for ATV and off-road drivers.
Please hide the cache back like you found it and be careful to not
crush the container..
