Geocache Description:

This is a cache that is nothing to do with the book and the film of the same name. The original work by Washington Irving tells a grim tale of headless horsemen and various decapitations. Hopefully there are no such goings on at our version of Sleepy Hollow. However, We did find a skull there so who knows what goes on when the sun goes down?

To find this cache you will do well to park at N52 20.902 W001 28.455 where there is a convenient grass verge. If you then cross the road ,with care, you will find a stile and a public footpath. However, a little further along the road there is another footpath that looks like the drive to Quarryfield House. The house is named after the disused quarry which is accessible through a small gate, but it is private land so don’t make the mistake of going through the gate. Proceed a little way up the drive, it is a public footpath, and then turn left where directed by the footpath sign. This will take you across the fields and eventually to the cache. It is possible to make this a shorter trip as there is a road that you will need to cross and this road is accessible by car. Parking is more difficult if you decide on this option. Whichever way you decide to do it, you will need to solve the puzzle questions below to find the co ordinates.

What year did Muffin the Mule first appear on our screens? Add together all these digits to find your first two co-ordinates. = A

Find the number of letters in the surname of the ventriloquist who operated Archie Andrews. = B

Who were the knitted aliens who lived under saucepan lids in caves? Number of letters please. = C

Take away the name of the Spacey Rabbit in the Magic Roundabout from the name of the Bouncing Character, and what are you left with? = D

Sooty first appeared on our screens in 195_ = E

Add together the two names of the puppet operated by Albert Saveen, known just as Saveen.. = F

Add 1 to the number of letters in the name of the pink and cream stripey cat who appeared on children’s TV back in the 1970s. = G

Do you remember the adorable little Italian mouse who made his first appearance on American TV in 1963? What is the number you are left with if you take his first name away from his last name. = H

Number of letters in the name of the Shaggy Dog in the Magic Roundabout? = I

Now use your answers to complete the co ordinates for the cache.
