Muskego Park is located on C.T.H. L, approximately 1/2 mile west of
Racine Avenue (C.T.H. Y). This 160-acre site was purchased in 1958
as the County's first regional park.
This cache is located in a Waukesha County Park so a entrance
fee or a yearly sticker is REQUIRED. It is not possible to reach
the cache from the neighboring subdivision, you must use the park
trail. This park is open from sunrise until 10:00 PM.
However, the Park Rangers asked that no one go
in the trails after dark for your safety.
ABOUT THE CACHE
This cache is located in a hardwoods preservation area. Many
trails wind through this area offering a tranquil atmosphere and
home to many wildlife. Please, stay on the establish trails, all
stages of this multi are placed just a short walk off the trail.
The final is placed a short distance in, due to the high muggle
factor.
You are seeking a 4 stage multi. Each stage is a different
container that will give you the coordinates for the next. Total
distance, if you follow the correct trails, could be approximately
.8 miles. Parts of this multi may be hard to find in the winter
months. So it's not winter
friendly!!
In the winter the trails are expertly
groomed for cross country sking so HIKING IS NOT ALLOWED on the
trails during these times.
PARK FEATURES:
In the summer there is a family camping area, beach for swimming
with beach house for changing, bathrooms and a concession stand for
hot dogs and ice cream treats. There are trails for hiking and
horse back riding so you can easily make a full day of it with your
family. Enjoy a picnic lunch in one of the many free picnic table
and shelter areas. If you need a place for a celebration or picnic
they have three picnic shelters and two picnic pavillions for rent.
This is one of our favorite places to camp but there are no hook up
for water or electric though.
Good Luck and Thank You for your visit!! The park is closed at
10:00 pm so even if you are camping you need to be at your site.
