Throughout the midwest, there are numerous small towns that share
many common characteristics. Some of these might be that the
railway that once was the local economic driver has lost it's
significance, the highway once went through the center of town, and
the locals businesses all thrived while supporting the community.
Assumption is one of these towns.
Today in downtown Assumption, there is a very pleasant park that
few people other than the local residents have ever seen. I placed
this cache as a lure to hopefully draw travellers off the highway
for a break and a chance to enjoy some of the sights of our local
history.
The cache is easily accessible by kids and strollers, and apart
from being on a grassy surface, should not be a problem for a
wheelchair.
Enjoy!!!!
