This is a small cache located in Kumbrabow State Forest in Randolph County near the community of Monterville and the Town of Pickens. This will be the first cache located on this WV State Forest and in this part of the county.
The cache is made of PVC pipe and has room for small items. I didn't put much in the cache to start with as I'm sure my fellow cachers will fill it with some interesting items. It is located just off of the Whitman Trail on the Turkeybone Road end of the trail. Parking coordinates are as follows: N 38 37.360 W 080 07.045

NOTE!!! Kumbrabow State Forest is open to the public from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., unless registered as an overnight guest. Also, Kumbrabow is located in some of the highest elevations of WV. The cache site elevation is right at 3900 ft. Be advised that this forest is remote and snow is common anytime between October-April. All roads in the forest are gravel/dirt and are well maintained. However, 4wd or AWD "might" be neccessary during these months. I am very familiar with this area and I have always said that Kumbrabow is like another world in the winter. It is very similar to Snowshoe Mtn., to give you a reference. With all of this in mind, I took care in hiding this cache and making it possible to find even in the deepest snow.
BONUS: Benchmark HX0334 is located very nearby!!! Can you find it???
