The Stephenville Museum is a neat collection of settler's cabins and public buildings from the mid to late 1800's. There is one historic sign that seems out of place among these old log cabins. A landmark in Stephenville since 1917, the old Wolfe Nursery sign points the way to this regular sized cache.
This cache has been placed with the permission of The City of Stephenville and Linda McElroy, manager of the Stephenville Museum. All she asks is that you park on the gravel path. Many have used the 1899 Presbyterian Church and scenic grounds for weddings. There are also many rustic cabins that have been used as backdrops for portraits such as Christmas and graduation photos.
On a sad note, Hugh Wolfe the founder of Wolfe Nursery passed away on May 22, 2010 at the age of 97.
ATTENTION: Under no circumstances should anyone climb onto the wolf sign. The geocache can easily be reached from the ground. Climbing on the sign is dangerous and destructive.
