You walk into her parlor. The famed “Voodoo Queen” Marie Laveau. The darkness surrounds you as the door closes behind. There is movement in the far corner and your eyes strain to adjust. A voice whispers, "Come and sit a while." A chill runs down your spine as you make your way to a Victorian chair of oak and red silk. "I know why you have come ... You have reached a crossroads in your life and seek guidance. Concentrate on the problem at hand and strive to understand how your life is about to change… "Are you ready to begin?"
Your journey, if you chose to take, will walk you through the swamps and bayous of Roseville. These wetlands have mystical powers and if you shine your light right you will see eyes in the darkness and fireflies flitting about. Do not go alone… bring a friend for protection. Wild things are out and voodoo is in the air. Along the way you may find shrunken heads, alligators, and maybe even a zombie or two. But don’t be afraid… for fear will only feed the spirits.
Marie Laveau’s Advice for the Adventurer
1) Bring a sense of imagination and an hour or so of your time…
2)Bring a flashlight and good walking shoes…
3) Shine your flashlight along the way and look for the markers that glow in the night... some may be to the left, some may be to the right, and some may be flitting about… do not go to any streets… the Zombies might attack.
4) When all seems lost and you find a straight line down… look very carefully you may find instructions tucked away in a tiny container…
5) Stick to the trail and head to where the instructions tell you… following the markers that shine in the night. Once again you will find an arrow pointing to your next set of instructions… follow them and the trail!
6) Be careful looking for the final prize… Zombies and shrunken heads have been seen about.
