Geocache Description:

Painless 'multi'!
Located near Kingston...not far from 411.

BRING A CAMERA AND A PICNIC LUNCH!

Placing RTC#5, I was told about this new spot. Ryan (property owner of RTC#5) took me to it. Wow! Recently purchased by the County for a future park, the locals have been using this as a summer get-away for years.
1st stage is where you'll find coords for the 2nd (and final cache).
In days gone by, horse and carriage would come here from Atlanta to enjoy the springs and stay in the nearby hotel in Kingston.
These grounds were originally a plantation, then a school...but I'll let you read the history when you get there!
There is a gate... Park your car,get the coords.Gate is usually unlocked these days,so drive on up the road till you see an area to park off main drive.(500' or less) You'll find an old horse/buggy path that goes to the left.(90 degrees to drive). Follow on foot. Continue till you see the most glorious old oak tree (marker #12). Please add on a picture to your log beside this beauty if you can!
You'll then come to the area where people came to bathe in the old days-and locals still do. Water is not hot...but it is not cold either.

Cache is now near a 'JojoCat' spot. Could be done at night, but not recommended! No motorized vehicles please, as you will see posted.

You are looking for an ammo can that the GGA graciously gave for raffle...and I was the lucky winner! :) Glad to recycle it in such a beautiful place. . Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do! :)
Thanks Ryan, for showing me this place! :) CB

BTW- Since you are here, you must do the "Ruins"! It is located on a nice path further on.

PLEASE- Re-hide carefully as this place can be a hive of 'local muggles'....especially in the summertime!

PS- Note the book mentioned at stage one. Available at the Rome library and also found via internet! A good historical read about the occupation of this area by a local who witnessed it all. The author's family is buried in the cemetery.
Enjoy this scenic, peaceful place!

Thanks!
