While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the the edge of The Portage Lake in Houghton MI. It's a very nice smooth walk all the way there with a pretty nice view of the lift bridge at the end.

This cache is 1 of the 3 "Son Caches"------>This cache is a small altoid tin with only room for a log book and small trade items. Bring your own pencil. Be extremly careful when replacing the cache ( you'll know why once you find it )Have fun on this nice walk along the water!
