Lets Walk Around the World Shall We... Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

This cache is very well hidden, in fact none of it is visible so you will have to root around to find it. Only two clues and they are vague. Read instructions for replacing items carefully and be prepared.

The cache is a medium sized clear plastic rice container with a green screw lid. As mentioned, it is completely hidden and here are your only two clues: do you believe in porcupine trees, if so turn left and do ferns grow on rocks, start rooting? If you find this cache it is best you take it out of the woods and back onto the trail so you can examine it easier. There are lots of neat things in this cache and the first find prize is a multi-tool (like a leatherman) in a brown leather case. This cache has a theme and special instructions for taking and replacing items so be prepared before you go looking for it. Let me list the items first...

- Note pad
- pencil but no sharpener (good thing to leave for the first finder)
- First to find multi-tool in brown leather case.
- Corona beer cap from Mexico
- Canadian decal flag (backpack type)
- Bus pass from Lisbon Portugal
- London underground pass
- Pack of India Gate matches
- American one dollar bill
- Italian 1000 Lire bill
- Egyptian one pound bill
- 50 cent Australian coin
- A One Euro coin
- A One pound UK coin
- A one Shilling UK coin
- A five Kroner Norweigian coin
- A twenty centimes French coin
- A twenty five Ptas Spanish coin
- A twenty Para Yugoslavian coin
- A one Guilder Netherlands coin
- A 50 cent Canadian coin (used to call these 2 bits in the old days)
- A 2 cent East Caribbean States coin
- A piece of a prayer flag from Nepal
- A one Kroner Swedish coin

As you can see there are lots of things from different parts of the world so if you want to walk around the world with me then you have to bring something from the same country as the item you are taking. It would also be nice if you could replace similar items but if you can't that will be fine. This could be very educational for kids if mom or dad wants to talk about Geography and travel.

It was raining something fearce when myself and my deaf dog Duchess (DDD) placed the cache and she is now on her pillow drying off and re-thinking this whole geo-caching thing!!

The accuracy at the cache location was only 8 m as I was in medium dense woods. You will find it so don't worry and please take the time to examine all the items and talk about your travels with each other.

When I find a small paper chart of the world or a very small globe I will place it up there.

Happy Caching,
World Walker and DDD
