Wilson's Backside Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

yawlog: I was getting ready to archive this hide anyway but didn't want to leave Geo trash so I went to check on. Boy, the area has changed. There used to be a path leading close to cache which is now nonexistent but I found hiding spot with no problem. It was a triple trunked tree that the cache fit into nicely and would not come out without it lifting a few feet. The container was missing (sorry to all who could not find) and the only way that could happen if it were stolen or not put back.

Geocache Description:

Another milestone, another hide.

I hid this cache to celebrate my 350th find at beautiful Wilson’s Lake in Clayton.

There have been other caches at the lake but they have been toward the front. This one is hidden toward the back. Hence the name: “Wilson’s Backside”

The cache is a large peanut butter jar with plenty of room for travel bugs. Enter park from Fries Mill Road at the boat dock entrance. There is a trail leading to hide but you will have to use your geosense to find it. You will find cache about 75 feet off the trail.

Wilson’s Lake is very picturesque so bring a camera.

There is also no hunting allowed so you don’t have to worry about getting shot during hunting season.
