Family Series 4
This is a little series dedicated to those who cache as a family
with kids. I have two little cachers and there is nothing like
watching them open a well stocked treasure chest. So hand junior
the GPS and have fun.
This cache is an ammo box located in Buffalo Ridge Park and is
accessed best from the east parking. It is about 30 feet south of
the trail with no foot trail at this time. I have cleared most of
the thorny and hazardous plants around the area and it should be
suitable for even the youngest of cachers; I have cleared a path to
approach from the west for the easiest retrieval. It is dedicated
to my daughter, Little G, whose energy and enthusiasm makes any
hunt with her a blast!
Buffalo Ridge Park is located in Fort Worth off of Beach
Avenue. It has two parking areas: West Parking N32 51.157/W097
17.348 and East Parking N32 50.990/ W097 17.000. There is a .41
mile paved trail that connects the two parking areas with picnic
tables and a playground near the east parking. The whole trail is
over 3 miles long. There is also a small creek that runs along the
trail which is great for skipping stones and catching frogs. There
are foot paths leading down to the creek, but the footing can be
tricky in some areas due to the tree roots and the incline. The
park is open from 8am to 10:30pm.

This area flooded and trash is everywhere. Haul a bag of trash
out, post a picture, and collect and extra smiley for each
Family Series 1, 2, 3, and 4. That's 4 extra smileys for one
bag of trash and a posted picture. The best trash cans are
located by the east parking area between #3 and
#4.
