With respect to a question and comment left by a fellow cacher, I have only listed this as a difficulty level HIGH only for the safety of fellow cachers vehicles and given Texas weather changing at the drop of a hat, can produce a totally different and possibly impassable terrain in the blink of an eye. This is the first of a series Just Jeepin'. The cache was placed in Horseshoe Bend park near the Leon River. The cache is a round cammo covered tupperware bowl hidden fairly well, but in plain sight to just about any seasoned cacher. You won't have to dig around for it, as it is only disguised from one side. You should be able to retrieve it with no problem from its location.
This is a poplular "muddy" area to the locals so there is a trail that leads right to it. I do recommend that this not be attempted in any less than dry conditions unless you are sporting a 4 Wheel Drive cachemobile. We took the Jeep right up to the hiding spot in 2WD, but it was dry. This will be different in wet weather though. You will DEFINATELY need the 4WD if it is wet! You can hike in from the entrance, and I didn't get you off the main trail too much, but bring water! Be sure to check out the trails in this park and please remember to sign in at the gate!! There is a log in book that is there and a pen attached. This is a no admission park, but please help out by bringing out some trash with you. There is plenty to choose from trust me! We planned this cache with clean up in mind as well as some Jeepin fun!!
